There are plenty of things you can do in Siem Reap
Go on a hopping tour of Temples of Angkor Complex
Angkor complex is huge and not accessible in a single day. You need to have at least three days to visit the entire complex. There is a lot of history associated with it and you need to have a guide to get you around. I do not wish to write the names of the Temples here as you as such wont be able to remember. Some things are best left upon our guide.
Visit a Floating Village
There are few floating villages around Siem Reap. Your guide or hotel and arrange a tour to one of the floating village. The wooden houses are made on a bed of the drums to keep them floating.
Visit Phare Circus
A must visit if you are in Siem Reap. Its bit far from the central town so you may have to negotiate with you Tuk Tuk driver . The best option is let your hotel butler do the bargains .
The circus is organized by Phare Ponleu Selpak (PPSA) in a tent and it gets you thru all emotions right from laughter , sorrow , anger and ignorance. It’s a must visit and pretty nominal rates are charged
Make your moves on Pub Street
A happening place in central location with lot of pubs and bars and enough options for all types of cuisines.
Shop at the Night Market
Night market is near to the Pub Street with local traditional khmer clothes on sale and also china made items. Its next to the canal so there will be a lot of mosquito bites.
